Making Character Designs with Intention
There is no limit to the number of iterations one can make on an idea. Coming up with a plan for your project can really help make something of value instead of just another generic portfolio piece. Are you making a film, a game, a sculpture, what is the story you are trying to tell? Better to know what the actual intention is so you can practice design skills as you learn the craft side of the materials.
Figuring out the technical side of digital and traditional mediums is such a challenge in itself. It is easy to get lost and forget why you create in the first place. The way to make a lasting impact is to communicate. Find that unique voice and put that into everything you do.
If we can tell better stories we make the world a better place. Or at least that is what we should try to do.
